The Subir Falls Circuit, Girmal to Dev Van
The densest waterfall cluster in the district, almost all of it documented nowhere else. Strictly a monsoon circuit, July to early October, and strictly a daylight one; grip footwear throughout.
The route
Lines follow driving routes from OpenStreetMap ยท some pins are approximate ยท overlapping stops nudged apart
Day 1
Ahwa to Subir to the Nishana check-post country: viewpoint, the big falls, the quiet one, then Mahal's bamboo forest for the night. Book the campsite ahead on the forest portal; fuel up in Ahwa: there are no pumps on the interior stretch.
Day 2
The four-falls morning: Karanjwa, Milan, Bhalkhet and Dev Van sit within a dozen kilometres of village roads. None has facilities; carry the day's food and water from the campsite and ask each village for the path, local directions beat every map here.
Base: ahwa ยท Total driving: ~150 km ยท Themes: monsoon, offbeat, nature, trekking
Every stop links to its full record, timings, fees, seasons, safety and sources.
