The Lake Garden runs along Saputara Lake's shore, all broad lawns, old shade trees, flower borders, a children's play corner and benches angled at the water. Its job is simple: absorb the families that spill off the boats, and it does it well, especially in the soft hour before sunset when the lake mirrors the ridge and the town's day-trippers settle onto the grass.

Because it is level and adjacent to everything, this is the easiest green space in town for elderly visitors and prams. Vendors work the gate; the promenade connects onward to the boat club and the Nageshwar temple, so the garden folds naturally into the standard lakefront hour rather than demanding its own slot.

Highlights

  • Lawns and shade directly on the lakeshore
  • Play corner for small children
  • Level paths, the easiest garden in town

Traveller tips

  • Fold it into the boating hour, no separate slot needed
  • Evening is its best self; mornings are for the Step Garden

Safety

  • Supervise children near the shoreline edge

A pointer record for the town's hotel stock. Peak pricing (May, Diwali, Christmas–New Year, monsoon-festival weekends) runs 2× the shoulder season; book those weeks well ahead.

Several dozen hotels and resorts ring the lake and main road, budget lodges to upscale resorts; standard OTA booking works
